A demo is a hands-on presentation of a product to a prospective client.
It’s a short word for demonstration. A sales demo is used to show prospects how a product works, highlight the benefits it can provide, including specific pain points it can mitigate or challenges it can help them solve.
It is an essential part of the closing process in B2B and high ticket SaaS sales, usually conducted in-person or via a video call.
