Scraping is the process of pulling data from websites or other online sources for further analysis/processing.

Data scraping is commonly used as part of the lead generation process.

Rather than browsing a website (usually - social media profiles of the prospects) and manually recording the names, contact details, and other relevant information for potential leads, a scraper will pull that information and record it in a way that’s more useful to the salesperson.
