Segmentation

Segmentation means breaking down a larger group into smaller segments that share specific criteria.

The main goal of lsit segmentation is to help sales reps create relevant and personalized messaging.

By grouping leads into smaller segments with different criteria (such as industry, budget, role, etc.), it becomes easier to use messaging that is appealing to their specific challenges and pain points.

  • Demographics refers to the factors, such as age, gender, income, etc., specific to a certain audience group.
  • Firmographics are the business characteristics including industry, corporation type, size, geographic area, products, annual revenue, etc.
  • Technographics refers to the data about the technologies (both software and hardware) a company uses.
