Solution selling is a sales tactic that implies offering specific products or services to resolve the prospect's individual problems.

This means a salesperson needs to take a holistic approach to analyzing and understanding the prospect's current needs, so they can come up with the right offer that will best address those needs.

This makes it pretty similar to the consultative selling approach.

Also known as solution-based selling, this tactic is the most effective when selling highly customized products/services.
