A gatekeeper is a person within the target organization who keeps you from contacting the decision maker.

This might be a receptionist, secretary, associate, or executive assistant to the decision maker.

Getting past the gatekeeper to actually reach the decision maker is one of the main challenges salespeople usually face in B2B sales.
