Understanding your score
Your SSI score is the engine behind your limits
LinkedIn's Social Selling Index (SSI) is its internal measure of how professionally and authentically you use the platform. It directly shapes how much outreach activity LinkedIn considers natural – and safe – for your account.
Professional brand
LinkedIn rewards active, well-presented accounts with more headroom for outreach. Complete your profile to 100% – it's the fastest SSI win.
Finding the right people
Using search filters and connecting with relevant prospects tells LinkedIn you're networking intentionally — not spamming. Target precicely, not "spray and pray."
Engaging with insights
Liking, commenting, and sharing relevant content shows genuine participation in your industry. 15 min of daily content engagement moves your SSI noticeably.
Building relationships
High acceptance rates and active conversations demonstrate that your outreach is wanted. Respond to messages fast – it boosts all four SSI pillars.
Creating & sharing content
Posting updates, articles, or even short thoughts signals that you're an active participant in your industry – not just a sender. One post a week is enough to move your SSI noticeably.
Growing your network intentionally
The size and relevance of your connections feeds directly into your SSI. Accept relevant incoming requests too – a two-way network grows faster.

Why LinkedIn outreach is worth the effort
Reply rates cold email can't match
InMails achieve 18–25% response rates. Personalised connection requests with a note convert 30–40% of recipients when targeting is precise. Cold email averages 3%.
One channel, multiple touchpoints
A single LinkedIn sequence can warm up a prospect through a profile view, a post like, a connection request, a DM, and an InMail — all in one place. No coordinating across email, phone, and social separately.
Real profiles build real trust
Unlike email – where anyone can fake a domain – LinkedIn profiles are tied to a professional history. Your profile IS your credibility. Prospects can verify who you are before they respond.
Results that compound over time
Every accepted connection, every content post, every comment – builds a professional network that compounds over time. Your 500th connection makes the next 500 easier to reach.
Everything you need for LinkedIn outreach at scale
Smart safety limits
Reply sets your daily LinkedIn activity within a randomised safe range – so your sending pattern looks human, not automated. Limits adjust based on your account signals without you doing anything.
Multi-step LinkedIn sequences
Chain profile views, post likes, connection requests, direct messages, and InMails into a single automated flow. Mix LinkedIn steps with email and calls for true multichannel outreach.
Multiple LinkedIn accounts
Connect every rep's LinkedIn account and run outreach across your entire team from one workspace. Manage limits, sequences, and replies for all accounts in one place.
Pre-engagement actions
Automatically like a prospect's recent post or view their profile before sending a connection request. This small step increases acceptance rates by making your first touch feel less cold.
AI Voice Messages
Send AI-generated personalised voice messages directly inside your LinkedIn sequence steps. Voice messages get noticed in a way plain text never does – and Reply makes them easy to scale.

FAQ
How the Calculator Works
What is SSI and where do I find mine?
SSI stands for Social Selling Index – a score LinkedIn gives every user from 0 to 100 based on how actively and effectively you use the platform. You can check yours for free at linkedin.com/sales/ssi. You don't need a Sales Navigator subscription to view it.
Why is my calculated limit lower than the numbers in the table?
The table shows the maximum safe range observed across all accounts. Your personal limit adjusts down based on your SSI score, account age, number of pending invitations, and acceptance rate. The more of these signals that are unfavourable, the lower your safe limit will be.
What happens if I send more than my calculated limit?
LinkedIn doesn't send a warning. It either throttles your activity silently – meaning future messages or requests simply stop going through – or it temporarily restricts your account for 7 days or more. Repeated violations can lead to a permanent restriction.
Why does account age affect my limits?
LinkedIn treats new accounts conservatively. A profile created last month sending 30 connection requests a day looks very different from a two-year-old account doing the same thing. The platform needs time to confirm your behaviour is normal and human – which is why new accounts should always warm up gradually.
How does Reply keep my account within safe limits automatically?
Reply sets your daily LinkedIn activity within a randomised range rather than a fixed number. Each day, the system picks a different value within your safe zone so the pattern looks natural. If your account shows any restriction signals, Reply pauses outreach automatically until you review.
How often should I recalculate my limits?
Recalculate whenever something changes: your SSI improves or drops, you clear a batch of pending invitations, your acceptance rate shifts, or you upgrade your LinkedIn plan. As a baseline, check your SSI monthly – it's the most dynamic of the four variables.
How much does my SSI score actually affect my limits?
Quite a lot. The calculator applies a multiplier based on your score: an SSI of 40 or below reduces your base limits by 30%, while an SSI of 75 or above increases them by 28%. That's a nearly 2× difference in safe sending volume between a weak and a strong profile – all other factors being equal.
How can I improve my SSI score?
SSI is built on four pillars: a complete professional profile, using search filters to find the right people, engaging with content in your industry, and building genuine relationships through conversations. The fastest wins are completing your profile to 100% and spending 10–15 minutes a day liking and commenting on relevant posts. SSI updates daily, so improvements show up quickly.
