In other words, instead of bluntly pitching the product, the salesperson aims to create meaningful relationships with the prospect first of all.
Along with consultative sales, this approach is typically used in high ticket B2B sales that have longer sales cycles and imply long term cooperation between the vendor and consumer (e.g., service industries).
