Synergy Effect has built custom technology for B2B companies for more than 20 years. In May 2026, founder Tomas Vilmanas started using Jason AI SDR for the repetitive prospecting and first-contact work at the top of the company’s funnel. The biggest change so far is in how the team thinks about outbound: as one connected system, not a batch of automated emails.

About Synergy Effect

Tomas founded Synergy Effect in 2002. The company is headquartered in Vilnius, has offices in Kaunas and London, and has a team of 20+ specialists. It builds custom web and mobile products, business process automation and, more and more, AI-powered solutions. It works with enterprise clients across Lithuania and Europe, mostly B2B companies that need tailored technology, integrations, automation or AI.

A small sales team handles direct communication with prospects, meetings, proposals and follow-ups.

The challenge: scaling without going generic

Synergy Effect has won business through direct sales, LinkedIn, email, referrals, partners and inbound enquiries. LinkedIn has always worked better for the team than cold email, and sending more emails never on its own brought better results.

The real limit was scale. Doing B2B prospecting well means finding the right companies and people, understanding their context, writing personalized messages, following up, and doing all of it consistently, week after week.

When done properly by hand, the process is expensive and difficult to scale. When heavily automated with traditional tools, communication can quickly become generic and performance deteriorates.

Tomas wanted to fix both problems at once: more outbound volume, with enough personalization to still matter.

Why Jason AI SDR

Tomas went in with fair questions. How autonomous was the system really? How much human work would it still need? Would the pipeline justify both the platform cost and the time the team spent supervising it?

The product vision settled it. Tomas liked that one system brought together prospecting, AI analysis, personalization, LinkedIn and email outreach, and follow-up. As a technology company, Synergy Effect also wanted to see first-hand how far AI can realistically automate B2B sales today.

How Synergy Effect uses Jason AI SDR

Jason works at the top of the funnel: finding prospects, qualifying them, personalizing messages and sending outreach. Once a conversation is worth having, the sales team takes over.

Our goal is not to replace salespeople with AI. We want to automate a large part of repetitive prospecting and first-contact work so that human time can be focused on meaningful conversations with qualified prospects.

Using more than one channel was a deliberate choice. The campaigns confirmed that LinkedIn works much better for Synergy Effect than cold email alone, so the team doubled down on combining LinkedIn and email.

Setup: the software is easy, the sales logic takes work

Getting started with the platform wasn’t hard. The bigger job was setting up the sales logic: ICP, segments, offers, messaging, channels and follow-up.

Small details mattered more than the team expected. A weak subject line, a generic message or a loosely defined ICP can noticeably reduce how well a whole campaign performs. In Tomas’s words, AI SDR “is not yet a ‘set it and forget it’ system. It still requires human supervision.”

What changed: outbound as one system

Jason changed how Synergy Effect thinks about outbound. The team no longer sees automation as simply sending emails automatically. It now sees outbound as a single process that can be structured and automated much more deeply.

The full chain matters to us: ICP → prospect sourcing → qualification → context gathering → personalization → LinkedIn/email outreach → replies → human engagement. That is a larger change than simply adopting another sales tool.

The team also has a clearer view of where AI adds value. Jason takes on the high-volume information processing, prospect analysis, personalization prep and repetitive tasks. Offer design, campaign strategy and complex client conversations stay with people.

Advice from a founder who’s tested it

For anyone still deciding about AI SDR, Tomas has practical advice:

  • Run a clearly measurable experiment first.
  • Judge success by qualified conversations, pipeline and sales, not by messages sent, connections or reply rates.
  • From day one, include the time people spend supervising and optimizing, not just the platform cost.
  • AI SDR adds the most value for companies that already know their ICP, have a clear offer and are ready to actively manage their outbound.

Without those fundamentals, AI can simply automate a weak process faster.

What’s next: people where they matter most

Tomas expects AI to take on a growing share of Synergy Effect’s prospecting and outbound over the next one to two years. The goal is a system that runs almost on its own: it identifies suitable prospects, qualifies them, gathers relevant information, personalizes messages, runs outreach across channels and drafts responses. Tomas also wants Jason to learn from real campaign results, spotting which prospects, messages, offers and channels perform best and adjusting the strategy to match.

People stay in the process, but at a different point. As Tomas puts it: “Human involvement should be concentrated where it creates the most value: when a prospect shows genuine interest and a real business conversation begins.”
