OOO Email

An out of the office email (or OOO email) is an automated message that is used to notify senders that the recipient is currently unavailable.

This is a typical response you get when emailing a prospect who is currently on vacation or sick leave – i.e., can’t check their inbox and won‘t be able to read your email any time soon.

Out of office email messages typically include info about a person you can contact instead or alternative communication channels to reach the prospect anyway. This makes OOO replies a valuable and important aspect of cold outreach.
