Cold Outreach

Cold outreach is a salesperson’s attempt to connect with a prospect who has no previous contact with your business.

It is one of the main techniques for outbound sales, often referred to as telemarketing, and an effective lead generation tactic.

Unlike spam, cold outreach campaigns are highly targeted and personalized, aiming to establish a connection with the prospect rather than trick them into making a purchase.

There are several types of cold outreach depending on the channels used:

  • Cold calling is the outreach performed over the phone.
  • Cold emailing is reaching out to prospects via email.
  • Multichannel outreach combines several channels within a single campaign.
