The ideal customer profile (ICP) is a hypothetical organization that would benefit the most from what you have to offer and offer value in return.

This document usually lists company size, industry/business vertical, geography, budget and revenue, technologies they use, etc.

Compared to a buyer persona, ICP is usually a more general concept of a target organization, rather than of a specific person, the direct consumer of your product or services within it.

As a result, ideal customer profiles are typically used in B2B sales and marketing.
