Outbound

Outbound refers to the sales and marketing tactics aimed at engaging potential buyers who haven't previously shown interest in your product or service.

The contact with an outbound lead is usually initiated by a seller, as opposed to inbound sales, where it’s the potential buyer who begins the conversation.

In this case, the leads may or may not be interested in (or currently have the need for) your product or service.

This means you will usually need to proactively reach out to the leads (through cold outreach or outbound calls), educate them about your product or service, and gauge their interest in it to eventually make them want to buy it.
